Kajiado man who wedded two wives explains his motivation, urges randy men to emulate him
Tom Mako, the newly wedded man from Kisaju village, Kajiado county is on the lips of every Kenyan for marrying two beautiful wives on the same day.
Despite this unusual ceremony held on Tuesday, December 11, Makui maintained proposing to two girlfriends, Elizabeth Silamoi and Joyce Tikoyian, and fulfilling his promise to walk down the aisle with them was the best thing he could
Tom Mako and his two newly wedded wives Elizabeth Silamoi and Joyce during the wedding ceremony. He has urged men to be faithful.
Mako first met Joyce while looking after his cattle near his home in the village and as fate would have it, he later bumped on Elizabeth.
The groom went to say he loved both of them and they loved him back equally hence when it was time to settle, he could not disappoint either of the two.
“I wedded two wives to prove I’m faithful to them and not seeing any other woman. I urge fellow men whether married or not, to do the same. Instead of cheating on your wife, just marry the girlfriend. Majority of men say they are married yet they are in clandestine relationships with other women,” he told KTN News.
The brides could not hide their joy and excitement on their faces as they showered praises on their husband and wished him long life.
Elizabeth, now playing the role of first wife, said she did not object when her fiance revealed to her his intention to Joyce and they even discussed the matter at length and blessed the relationship.
TUKO.co.ke confirmed the wedding was customary in line with Maa culture and was therefore not presided over by religious leader as had been reported.
