Most companies offer deals early in the morning. There will be only a fixed number of seats available so if you’re willing to go the extra mile, you could bag a stellar deal. We’ve observed that the best deals on flights are usually from 6 am to 9 am.
Cheap flight tickets can also be found for flights that leave early in the morning. So if you don’t mind waking up at 3 am for a flight at 5 am you could bag a good deal in the process.
3. Wednesday Wisdom￼
It pays to try and schedule your departure on Wednesdays. We’ve found that cheap airline prices are usually available for sale for flights departing on Wednesdays. It also correlates with less crowded airports and shorter queues. That’s just a side bonus for you guys o enjoy.
4. Loyalty Could Pay-Off
Signing up for email alerts of websites, or even flight companies could pay off. They announce special deals to their treasured customers. Also, if you use one particular booking site you might want to continue using it to accrue points and wallet cash rewards. But never be afraid to check out the competition. A deal is a deal.
5. Only Search For A Single Seat Price
If you are truly looking for cheap flight tickets search for a single seat. Even if you are traveling as a couple or in a group. Booking companies could sometimes provide a seat at a lower price point rather than for a group booking. This could be due to the limited number of seats or some obscure policy. You’ll thank us for it later.
6. Search in Incognito
Cookies are responsible for saving your browsing information on websites. It has been observed that repeated searches for a particular ticket tend to steadily increase its price. Perhaps the pricing algorithm see’s the searches as an increase in demand for the ticket. Or maybe it just senses your desperation. In either case, searching for flight tickets in incognito could save you a couple of hundred bucks. To be on the safer side, delete your browsing history and cookies while you’re at it.
7. Never book during peak holiday season
This tip seems like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised at how often people forget this simple trick. If you have an emergency there is no helping it, but for all other situations avoid the holiday season. Even if you book weeks in advance, chances are you’re getting a slightly inflated price. Be flexible in your travel plans.
8. Last Minute Flying
This trick could be a little risky and isn’t always recommended. Especially if you plan to fly off a popular tourist destination. If a flight has only one or two seats left, they’ll usually give them out pretty cheap. You just have to be there at the right time.
